Q: Are there any risks associated with the Breathe Therapy to quit smoking ?

A: There are no known risks for most people. There are a few medical conditions (such as pregnancy and cancer) which might preclude treatment and other medical conditions (such as epilepsy, pacemakers and some anti-depressants or steroidal medications) which would necessitate minor modifications of the treatment regimen.

Q: Are there any side-effects of Breathe Therapy to quit smoking?

A: The most common side effect noted by clients is some instances of “dry-mouth”.

Q: How long has Breathe – Freedom from Nicotine been helping people quit?

A: Breathe – Freedom from Nicotine has been in business more than 10 years and has served more than 7,000 clients – and done on-site corporate programs for many companies, from small shops to Fortune 500 organizations, across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Q: Do I need to do anything to prepare?

A: We recommend that you try to refrain from smoking or chewing tobacco for 3 hours before your session. 10 hours is the maximum we would want you to go without smoking. Other than that, there is no specific preparation needed beyond a sincere desire to stop smoking.

We will be asking a series of questions regarding your health history, including a list of current or recent medical conditions, and of the medications, supplements and vitamins you are currently taking.

We may ask you to remove some jewelry from your wrists and hands during the session.
There is no need to disrobe any articles of clothing for the session.

Q: How long will it take?

A:Your initial appointment will take about an hour. We recommend that you schedule one or two follow-up treatment (included in the cost for up to 3 months) within 1-3 days after the first. Any follow-up appointment will take about 30 minutes.

Q: Can I drive myself to and from the session?

A:Yes. Most clients feel very relaxed from their session, and some even feel a very mild sense of elation, but there are no known effects that would interfere with driving.

Q:Do I have to do anything after the Breathe Therapy?
A:We will recommend several tips and techniques that many have found helpful in becoming a former smoker. Most tips will revolve around very minor changes in habits, especially for the first week after quitting smoking.
Q:Is it dangerous if I smoke/use a patch, etc. after the treatment?
A:You should not use any Nicotine Replacement Therapies (such as nicotine patches, e-cigarettes, or nicotine gums) after you have had Breathe Therapy®.
Q: Should I expect weight gain after quitting?
A:Most clients report very little or no weight gain using Breathe Therapy®’s methods, unlike to other smoking cessation programs.
Q:What should I do if I don’t feel like it’s working?
A:Call us at Breathe Therapy® anytime if you have questions about how the process is working for you, or if you feel you need additional support during any difficult periods.

Q:Will my insurance cover the treatment?

However, if you have an HSA or FSA account, sometimes, subject to rules of your plan, you should be able to use money from your Flex Spending, HSA or Cafeteria Plan account to cover the cost of tobacco cessation programs like Breathe – Freedom from Nicotine. It is always best to contact your Plan Administrator in advance to confirm fund availability for this type of program.
